Funnel Runners Push to Talk: Settings and Default Key
Direct answer
- Do this
- Voice Chat settings → enable Push to Talk
- Published defaults
- V / Left Shoulder Button
Open Voice Chat settings and enable Push to Talk. The option uses the existing Push to Talk keybind: V on keyboard or Left Shoulder Button on controller by default.
Confirm the bind in your current controls before a run, especially if you have rebound it. If the first press or Post-Game Data behavior is the problem, update to the current patch and retest. The notes do not document every radio or proximity-chat interaction.
Patch 0.35.4 added the Push to Talk option; Patch #014 later fixed reports of the first press being ignored or Push to Talk failing on the Post-Game Data screen.
How to set up Funnel Runners Push to Talk
The release note gives the setting area and the default bind. Use the current menu to confirm the final state on your installation.
Open Voice Chat settings
Patch 0.35.4 places the Push to Talk option in Voice Chat settings. Enable that option there.
Check the existing Push to Talk keybind
The option uses the existing Push to Talk action. Its published defaults are V on keyboard and Left Shoulder Button on controller.
If you changed the bind earlier, your current Controls value matters more than the published default.
Test it with a teammate before relying on it
Use a short voice check in a normal lobby. Confirm when your teammate can hear you and whether your rebound key is comfortable before the run becomes noisy.
Funnel Runners Push to Talk and radio controls
Before patch 0.35.4, players described the radio button and the broader hot-mic concern as separate behavior. The current notes confirm the option and the two October reliability fixes, but do not define how Push to Talk maps to global, proximity, walkie-talkie, or CB radio voice. Verify those interactions in-game.
Voice Chat Push to Talk
The official notes confirm the option and binds, not which voice channels it covers.

Walkie-talkie and CB radio actions
Pre-patch players reported radio behavior separately from the global hot-mic concern.
- Player concern
- The radio button did not solve the earlier global hot-mic complaint.
- What to check
- Test current global, proximity, walkie-talkie, and CB radio behavior in-game.
- Boundary
- Patch 0.35.4 does not publish a complete mapping between PTT and those voice interactions.
The old player suggestion to set your own voice volume to 0 is no longer the useful starting point now that an official PTT option is available.

What to verify in your current game
This page covers Push to Talk setup and the named reliability fixes, not every microphone or connection failure. Use the live menu, Controls, and a short teammate test for behavior the notes do not spell out.
- Your current Push to Talk bind, especially if you changed it before.
- How Push to Talk behaves with global, proximity, walkie-talkie, and CB radio voice in a normal session.
- Whether a later patch changed the setting name, location, or published default binds.
